I just came back from Sicily in Italy, a great trip and different from the usual, thanks to the hotel we stayed at. Granary was basically a farmhouse, but with stylish decoration – almost like a boutique hotel. The owners grow olives in their several acres of land, and we could also taste their home made wine along with the gourmet meals they offer.
Granary is part of the Cognoscenti Boutique Hotels; there are many other unique hotels mostly in Europe, but also in the Caribbean. Definitely worth checking if you’re looking for a unique trip, and their prices were not bad either.
